What European Buyers Are Looking for at Intersolar Europe 2026

The second day of Intersolar Europe 2026 brought even more energy to the exhibition halls of Messe München.

At Booth A1.111, the Sola-E team had the opportunity to meet distributors, product developers, renewable energy professionals, and brand owners from across Europe. Visitors from Germany, France, the Netherlands, Spain, Poland, Italy, and other markets stopped by to discuss emerging opportunities in portable and flexible solar solutions.

One encouraging takeaway from Day 2 was the diversity of inquiries received at our booth.

Visitors approached us with questions ranging from flexible solar panels for marine applications and lightweight RV installations to portable solar chargers, balcony solar systems, and custom OEM projects. The breadth of these conversations suggested that market demand remains highly diversified while also highlighting the growing need for application-specific solar solutions.

What We Heard Most Often: Lightweight Solar Solutions

One observation stood out throughout the day: buyers are increasingly looking for lightweight solar products that are easier to install, transport, and integrate into mobile applications.

Whether for RVs, marine systems, balcony installations, portable power stations, or off-grid projects, reducing weight without sacrificing durability was one of the most frequently discussed requirements at our booth.

This trend aligns closely with the growing demand for flexible solar panels, particularly in applications where conventional glass modules are not practical. Many visitors were interested in solutions that can conform to curved surfaces, withstand vibration, and deliver reliable power in space-constrained environments.

Growing Interest in Balcony Solar

Another topic that repeatedly surfaced was balcony solar.

As plug-and-play solar systems continue gaining popularity across Germany and Western Europe, installers and distributors are increasingly seeking lightweight, easy-to-deploy solar modules that simplify installation while maintaining long-term performance.

Many visitors were looking for products that could be integrated into apartment balconies, urban residential projects, and small-scale self-consumption systems, reflecting the continued expansion of distributed solar across Europe.

HPBC Technology Continues to Draw Attention

Compared with previous exhibitions, we noticed more visitors specifically asking about next-generation cell technologies and the performance differences between conventional PERC modules and HPBC-based solutions.

European buyers are paying closer attention to module efficiency, aesthetics, and energy generation under challenging weather conditions. The clean full-black appearance and high conversion efficiency of HPBC-based solar modules generated considerable interest among visitors looking for premium product offerings.

Beyond Products: Manufacturing Partnerships

Beyond individual products, many conversations focused on manufacturing capabilities.

For companies planning to launch their own solar product lines, topics such as custom branding, packaging design, certification support, and long-term supply partnerships were frequently discussed. Our OEM and ODM services attracted strong interest from businesses seeking flexible manufacturing solutions backed by engineering support.

Several discussions also centered on product customization, with buyers exploring ways to develop differentiated solar solutions tailored to specific regional markets and end-user applications.

Looking Ahead

One of the most valuable aspects of Intersolar is the opportunity to hear directly from the market. The questions visitors ask often reveal emerging trends before they become widely visible.

Based on our conversations so far, three themes are clear: lightweight solar solutions, application-specific product design, and higher-efficiency technologies continue to shape purchasing decisions across the European market.

We would like to thank everyone who visited Booth A1.111, shared insights, and discussed their projects with our team.

If you are attending Intersolar Europe 2026, there is still time to meet us at Messe München through June 25. We look forward to continuing the conversation and exploring new opportunities together.

For those unable to attend in person, feel free to contact our team to discuss your solar project requirements and OEM manufacturing needs.
