Q1: Are these ETFE panels flexible?
A: No. These specific modules are built on a Rigid FR4 Fiberglass backboard to ensure maximum durability and flat mounting on device housings. If you strictly require flexible ETFE panels (for curved surfaces), please contact our sales team for our separate “Semi-Flexible PCB” series.
Q2: What does "Marine Grade" mean for these panels?
A: It’s a two-layer system. The ETFE front surface resists salt mist, UV and humidity, while the POE encapsulation underneath blocks moisture from reaching the cells — which is why these panels are used on buoys, navigation equipment and coastal sensors. For applications involving full submersion or direct wave impact, we add Edge Sealing or Full Potting to protect the FR4 substrate as well. Tell us your deployment environment and we’ll configure the right protection level.
Q3: What type of solar cells do you use?
A: We offer two cell options depending on your priorities. Monocrystalline PERC (21–23% efficiency) delivers reliable output at a competitive price point — the standard choice for most projects. IBC back-contact cells (including SunPower) reach higher efficiency, so you get maximum power from the same panel size, plus a cleaner all-black appearance with no visible busbars — ideal for premium consumer products where both output and looks matter. Tell us your target power and size, and we’ll recommend the right cell type.
Q4: What is the warranty for ETFE mini solar panels?
A: All mini solar panels carry a 1-year manufacturer warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. Note that warranty and lifespan are different things: ETFE panels are engineered for 5+ years of outdoor service — the 1-year warranty covers manufacturing defects, while the ETFE lamination is what protects your long-term performance.
Q5: What is your minimum order quantity (MOQ)?
A: For custom mini solar panels, MOQ starts at 100 pcs — and unit cost drops significantly at 500+ and 1,000+ pcs, since tooling and setup are spread across the batch. For prototyping, we offer sample orders (typically 5–20 pcs) so you can validate the design before committing to production. Annual-volume programs get the best pricing — tell us your projected quantity and we’ll quote accordingly.
