Q: What is HPBC and how is it different from standard PERC?
A: HPBC (Hybrid Passivated Back Contact) is an advanced, high-efficiency cell technology. While standard PERC cells have visible busbars (silver lines) on the front, HPBC technology moves all contacts to the rear of the cell. This leaves the entire front surface unobstructed, allowing it to absorb more sunlight and radically boost efficiency. It’s how this panel achieves a 25% cell efficiency, significantly higher than standard PERC (22-23%).
Q: What charge controller is compatible with this 110W panel?
A: We recommend using a high-quality MPPT (Maximum Power Point Tracking) charge controller to extract the maximum power from this high-efficiency panel. For a 12V battery system, a controller rated for at least 10 Amps (10A) is required to safely manage the 110W output.
